Olympic stars Jonathan Edwards, rower Alison Mowbray, athlete Paul Evans and swimmer Karen Pickering were on hand to give advice on getting into sport as the London 2012 Roadshow reached Norfolk today.
The Roadshow is spending two days at the Royal Norfolk Show, including the National Lottery 'Dream Statistics' zone and the chance to try out sports including badminton and boxing with taster activities from Sport England.
The Roadshow has already attracted many visitors at its stops in London, Lincoln and Scotland on its summer-long tour of the UK.
Visitors can also access the
2012 Challenge website, setting their own challenges to achieve by 2012.
Katie Huane, Regional Project Manager for the London 2012 Games said: "We are here today to encourage people to take part in a wide range of sports and fitness activities – and we are delighted that the London 2012 Roadshow is linking up with Active Norfolk at the Royal Norfolk Show.
"Increasing participation in sport is one of the most important ways that we are rising to the challenge of attracting benefits from the London 2012 Games here to the East of England."
