The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) today announced the shortlist of candidates to create a state-of-the-art media centre in the Olympic Park.
The International Broadcast Centre and Main Press Centre (IBC/MPC) will provide a 24-hour service to the 20,000 accredited journalists, broadcasters, photographers and wire services covering the London 2012 Games.
After the Games the IBC/MPC will provide around 1.3 million square feet (120,000 square metres) of space for businesses.
ODA Chief Executive, David Higgins said: "The broadcast and press centre will deliver world-class facilities for the world's media during the Games and will create massive local business and employment opportunities in legacy, so today's announcement of a shortlist of such capable candidates is good news for the Games and good news for east London."
