School leavers are being given the chance to work for the London 2012 Organising Committee thanks to a programme launched today.
Ten school or college leavers between the age of 16 and 18 will be chosen to take up placements in London 2012 headquarters in September.
Applicants for the scheme will need to meet set requirements and have GCSE, A-levels or equivalent.
They will work in up to three different departments within the Organising Committee before being placed in the one that suits them best, in a job that could last until 2012.
They will also be able to gain Level 2 and 3 NVQ in Business Administration. Sebastian Coe, Chair of the Organising Committee, said: "This is a really fantastic opportunity for anyone who's passionate about sport, passionate about London and passionate about the Games.
"We are running this as a pilot programme in its first year and hope to continue right through to 2012, alongside other employment and work placement schemes."
