London 2012 announces Summer Roadshow

London 2012 is encouraging people around the UK to 'Join In' during its 10-week Roadshow this Summer.

Launching on 15 June in Greenwich, a specially-branded bus will stop at 27 locations, ending at Stoke Mandeville to mark five years to go to the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

There will be taster sessions of traditional and new sports run by Sport England, demonstrations and advice on how to get involved in sport locally.

The National Lottery 'Dream Statistics' zone will give people the chance to find out what sport they are likely to best suited based on their statistics, testing height, weight and muscle power.

The bus will carry the new London 2012 brand, launching on Monday 4 June.

London 2012 Organising Committee Chair Sebastian Coe will attend the first event in Greenwich, and Ministers, local MPs and sporting ambassadors will attend regional events throughout the tour.

Seb Coe said: "The London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games are the UK’s Games. This year's Roadshow will show the whole country how everyone can be part of the 2012 Games, and everyone can benefit from the legacy long after the final race has been won."
