The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) today announced a shortlist of five practices bidding to design a main public walkway in the Olympic Park.
Over 70 design practices registered their interest in their contract to regenerate the existing Greenway, which runs from Victoria Park to West Ham.
Up-and-coming practices were especially encouraged to bid for the contract for the work that is due to start later this year.
Alison Nimmo, ODA Director of Design and Regeneration said: "We have been extremely pleased with the level of interest for this important project, particularly from small and niche design practices.
"This is an important project to revitalise a vital link in the neglected public spaces in and around the Olympic Park area."
