The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has today announced the first opportunities for construction companies to build the structures, bridges and highways in the Olympic Park.

The project will play a vital part in making the Olympic Park compact and integrated, and in leaving behind an open, accessible Park after the Games.

The project includes 13 footbridges, five landbridges, 14 road bridges, five underpasses, 20km of roads and various associated structures.

The project is divided into a number of contract packages to ensure that a range of companies can take part.

ODA Director of Infrastructure Simon Wright said: "These first contracts are an opportunity for construction companies of all sizes to play a vital role in helping create the best-connected Games ever and provide an open and accessible Park in legacy."
