London 2012 has today announced the appointment of Nick Fuller as Head of Education.
From May, Mr Fuller will be in charge of developing the London 2012 education programme and building partnerships with educational bodies.
He is currently founder and Chief Executive of an award-winning educational communications and sponsorship agency, helping charities and Government departments to develop partnerships between education, business and the community.
Education and learning are a key part of the London 2012 Games. The first phase of the London 2012 educational programme was launched in September 2006, providing educational materials to schools through the
On Your Marks website.
With the start of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad in 2008, the Educational Programme will grow to involve not only schools but also students, the Games volunteering team and wider communities.
Bill Morris, London 2012 Director of Culture, Ceremonies and Education, said: "Nick will lead the development and delivery of our education strategy and plans, and we are delighted to welcome him to London 2012."
