The London 2012 Organising Committee today held an 'Arrivals and Departures' seminar to ensure visitors have the best possible start and finiah to their 2012 Games experience.
Operators from airports and other ports of entry heard from experts in field about how to maximise the experience for the hundred of thousands of athletes, spectators and VIPs entering the UK for the Games.
Visitors may have special requirements such as bulky sports equipment that will need to have special attention for everything to run smoothly.
Paul Deighton, Chief Executive of the London 2012 Organising Committee said: "First and last impressions of a country are so important and can set the tone for the whole Games experience.
"It is important for us all to work together to plan how to welcome the extra arrivals that the Games will bring as well as dealing with the challenge of keeping the travel experience fast and efficient for all other travellers.
"The ports of entry experience is crucial in the delivery of a memorable Games in 2012."
