British Paralympic Swimmers are preparing to hit top form at the Nationwide Short Course Swimming Championships this weekend, ahead of next month's International Paralympic Committee World Championships.

Athens Paralympic Games medallists Nyree Lewis, David Roberts, Danielle Watts and Giles Long are among the World Championship squad members representing their regions in the competition in Sheffield.

Long, who will be representing Greater London, said: "It's useful to go flat out for a few races ahead of the major championships so I'm really looking forward to the weekend.

"Personally I'm feeling quite relaxed going into the World Championships. They're going to be as tough as any Paralympic Games, but I'm swimming the best I have for the past couple of years and for the first time in a long time I'm just concentrating on swimming well."
