The number of people hoping to volunteer for London 2012 hit the 100,000 mark this week.
Brother and sister Yousef and Leila Ziu from North West London were the 100,000th to register their interest to be one of an estimated 70,000 volunteers for the 2012 Games.
The official Volunteer Programme launches in 2010 and volunteers will be chosen based on their experience, not on a first come, first served basis.
In the meantime, people are being encouraged to register their interest and to start building their volunteering experience within their local community.
Volunteers will be needed for a wide range of roles during the Games, including stewarding, first aid and translation.
Passionate about sport, Yousef (18) and Leila (15) commented: "We are so excited that the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games are coming to London, and we want to be part of it.
"We hope to begin volunteering in our local communities as soon as we can to make sure we've got the right experience and the best possible chance of being selected as Games volunteers.
"We want to be part of the greatest show on earth here in London."
