The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) today set out a thorough procurement process for the four shortlisted Delivery Partner organisations.
Candidates are being assessed according to European Union guidelines on a range of areas, including expertise in personnel and ability to work in partnership with the ODA.
An independent review body, the Compliance and Oversight Group, has also been established to review the procurement process and support the ODA's tender evaluation team.
The steps will ensure the selected Delivery Partner meets all the requirements necessary to carry out their role, one of the biggest contracts of the 2012 Games.
David Higgins, Chief Executive of the ODA, said: "The ODA has operated a thorough and detailed evaluation process involving a large team, with no one individual, externally or internally, able to determine the final outcome.
"The ODA is spending public money and has a duty to ensure the process on this major contract is as robust as we can make it. I am confident we have achieved this."
The successful candidate is due to be announced in September.
