Stars come out for London Grand Prix

Stars of track and field will be out in force this evening for London's Grand Prix at Crystal Palace, the biggest event of the UK Athletics calendar.

Joint 100m world record holder Asafa Powell and 200m runner Xavier Carter are expecting fast races in conditions that will be especially good for Sprinters.

In an exciting 400m line-up, world and Olympic champion Jeremy Wariner takes on Britain's Tim Benjamin.

In the field, Olympic Triple Jump Champion Christian Olsson will be challenged by Britain's Phillips Idowu and Nathan Douglas.

Tonight is the last chance for British athletes to impress for inclusion in British team for the European Athletics Championships in Gothenberg next month.

With Becky Lynn already assured of her place in the team for the Women's 800m, the final place is especially hotly contested, with Susan Scott, Jenny Meadows, Marilyn Okoro and Amanda Pritchard all battling for inclusion.
