Liverpool's Willamson Square will be the scene for celebrations on Thursday 27 July, marking six years to go to the London 2012 Opening Ceremony.
Special guests including London 2012 Organising Committee Chair Sebastian Coe, Sports Minister Richard Caborn and Olympic Gold medallist Daley Thompson will join local celebrities, athletes at performers for the celebration.
The event also marks the final stop for the 2012 Roadshow, which has travelled over 3,000 miles around the UK to inspire people to get involved in London 2012 and show the benefits hosting the Games will bring to everyone.
A visit to 2012 Football venue Old Trafford and a meeting with Sir Alex Ferguson as well as a trip to the City of Manchester Stadium will also take place on the day.
