Crowds at Crystal Palace enjoyed impressive performances by world class athletes at the London Grand Prix on Friday.
Joint world record holder Asafa Powell was cheered on by a large Jamaican contingent as he won the 100m final in 9.91sec.
Top British 800m athlete Becky Lynn ran an excellent race, finishing second to Kenya's Janeth Jepkosgei.
Brits Amanda Pritchard and Marilyn Okoro also performed well in the 800m, both breaking the two minute barrier for the first time.
In the Men's 400m, Tim Benjamin marked a season's best, but could not compete with a commanding performance from American Jeremy Wariner.
In the Paralympic competition, world record holder British David Weir maintained his dominance, winning by 0.20sec in the 800m.
Olympic Gold medallist Kelly Holmes received a warm welcome from the crowd as she introduced the 800m 'On Camp with Kelly' race, for girls she is mentoring with the aim of competing in 2012.
In an exciting race, Danielle Christmas just managed to hold off Hannah England, of Oxford City, to win by 0.15sec.
