Teams of Cyclists will ride between three Olympic venues today, marking six years to go to the Opening Ceremony on 27 July 2012.
Riders in Greenwich including army cadets and local police officers will cover the eight mile route between the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, Greenwich Park and The O2 (formerly the Dome).
They will ride the route carrying 'torches' on special flags that will be raised in a ceremony at the Woolwich Barracks.
Celebrations today also include taster sessions for children in a range of sports.
Greenwich Council Leader Chris Roberts said, "In Greenwich we want to celebrate the fact that our Olympic venues Greenwich Park, Woolwich Barracks and The O2 are already here, for all to see.
"We are also kicking off the latest in our series of events aimed at using the forthcoming London Games to inspire people of all ages to take part in sport and physical activity.
"As these events grow in scale, we will use them as a springboard to increase participation in sport still further over the next six years."
A spectacular London 2012 celebration takes place this evening in Liverpool city centre as the Roadshow draws to a close.
