Sebastian Coe, Chair of the London 2012 organising committee, has met with Welsh First Minister Rhodri Morgan to discuss how Wales can benefit from the London 2012 Games.

During a two-day visit to Wales, Coe and Morgan addressed the 2006 University and College Sport Conference, held at University of Wales Institute Cardiff.

The First Minister outlined how Wales will work closely with the London 2012 organising committee to maximise opportunities for Wales.

Coe also met with top Welsh businesspeople to outline the commercial benefits of the Games and saw children at Urdd Gobaith Cymru youth movement taking part in sport.

Rhodri Morgan said: "The 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games will allow Welsh companies to compete for hundreds of high value contracts and we fully intend to maximise the economic and tourism benefits the Games can deliver."

Sebastian Coe said: "The success of the Games in 2012 will be judged by the extent to which we have been able to share the values and benefits of the Games right across the UK.

"We have a great opportunity of showing the world what we can do, and at the same time instilling the Olympic and Paralympic values in our young people."
