Paul Deighton, Chief Executive of the London 2012 organising committee, has visited Hackney's Homerton Hospital to discuss plans for its use during the Games.
Situated just three kilometres from the Olympic Park, Homerton will be the Games' main hospital.
It will gear up to treat participants, volunteers and spectators during the Games, as well as continuing services for local residents.
During his visit, Deighton met staff and saw key areas of the hospital in action.
