The body responsible for London 2012's transport plans today welcomed a report on the issue from Parliament's Transport Select Committee.
David Higgins, chief executive-designate of the interim Olympic Delivery Authority, said: "We welcome the scrutiny of the Select Committee.
"Their report raises important issues. Some have already been addressed, such as the capacity of the Olympic Javelin. Others we will reflect on carefully.
"Progress has already been made on transport schemes in London - the Docklands Light Railway, the Jubilee Line and the M25 - and, importantly, the Committee recognises that potential challenges can be overcome.
"The International Olympic Committee recognised that transport was a strength behind London's bid, and we believe it is one of the reasons we won the Games.
"We are now working with our partners with energy, focus and determination to deliver excellent transport for the Olympics and a lasting legacy for London and the nation."
