London 2012 Chair Sebastian Coe has joined members of the Games team to update the Parliamentary All Party Olympic & Paralympic Group on progress on the 2012 Games.

The reception, hosted by Chair of the All Party Group Derek Wyatt MP, was also attended by sports stars including Gold Medallists Marlon Devonish, Tessa Sanderson, Ade Adepitan and Chris Holmes.

Coe updated the Group on progress since London won the Games six months ago - including the recent appointment of Paul Deighton as Chief Executive, the co-location of the two organisations responsible for organising the Games and the priorities for 2006 and beyond.

He went on to stress the organising committee's commitment to ensuring that all parts of the UK will benefit from the Games.

Members of the Commons and Lords also heard updates from Olympic Minister Tessa Jowell and Mayor of London Ken Livingstone, with Wheelchair Basketball player Ade Adepitan speaking about what winning the Games meant to him.
