Ten per cent of the Olympic Park workforce is walking or cycling to work, leading the way on using sustainable transport to get to the Olympic Park.

Olympic Park cyclists got free bike checks and advice today as part of London 2012's Sustainability Week
As part of London 2012’s Sustainability Week, the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) today encouraged Olympic Park workers to continue to cycle to work by providing free bike checks and maintenance advice.
Police officers from the Olympic Site Support Unit also gave tips to cyclists about how to prevent theft, how to register the details of their bike online and what to do if their bike is stolen.
ODA Chief Executive David Higgins said: ‘Our aim is to get 100 per cent of spectators to the Games using public transport, walking or cycling to events in 2012. It’s great that ten per cent of construction workers are already walking and cycling to the Olympic Park, with thousands more taking public transport to and from the site.’
