Airwave has been appointed the Official Private Mobile Radio Services supplier for London 2012. They are the third Tier Three supplier to be announced, continuing the momentum of the London 2012 partnership programme.
Airwave is the third Tier Three supplier for London 2012
Airwave will provide private mobile radio service for use within all Games venues. It is the first time in Olympic history that this has become a sponsorship category.
They already provide secure and resilient communications for the emergency and public safety services.
London 2012 Chair Sebastian Coe welcomed the deal: 'We are now at the business end of organising the Games and our Tier Three deals are very important as we source world-class companies to provide goods and services in order to deliver truly memorable Games in 2012.
'Secure communication between venues and personnel at Games time will be critical to our success. Airwave has a fantastic track record in this sector and we are thrilled that they are on board.'
