Accenture has been appointed to provide back office systems for the London 2012 Organising Committee.

The company was chosen from a shortlist of four potential candidates after submitting an initial Pre-Qualification Questionnaire in September.

They will provide an integrated internal information system to help with planning and processes across the board, including finance and accounting, Human Resources and procurement.

This contract will not cover Games time operating systems or the core Games management systems that relay results, events and athlete information to spectators and media around the world at Games time.

These IT systems are provided by Atos Origin, the Worldwide IT Partner for the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games for London 2012.

Atos Origin is the lead IT system integrator and is responsible for the design, build and operation of the Games IT infrastructure.
