The London 2012 Organising Committee today announced it will provide grants totalling around £9m for teams using Pre-Games Training Camps around the UK.

Athletes preparing for the Games
In the weeks and months leading up to the 2012 Games, athletes from around the world will use the camps to train and prepare for competition.
Up to £26,000 will be available to each of the National Olympic and National Paralympic Committees around the world, who organise the camps.
The grants will be put towards the cost of using the UK's approved facilities, which will feature in the Pre-Games Training Camp Guide to be issued in 2008.
Chair of the London 2012 Organising Committee Sebastian Coe said: "This represents a very special opportunity for us all to reach out and welcome the world's athletes to the UK, to showcase our towns, cities, regions and nations.
"The UK's cultural diversity, passion for sport and range of regional sporting facilities will provide an ideal pre-Games environment for the world's best athletes."
