Latest images released of Olympic Park progress as BBC documentary on project is broadcast
The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) released the latest images of progress on the Olympic Park, ahead of the broadcast of the of the BBC2 series, 'Building the Olympic Dream', this evening.
The programme tonight is focused on the construction aspects of the project and is the final part of the three-part series which has covered the preparations being made for London 2012.
The images released today show how much progress has been made since filming for the BBC2 series finished last Autumn, and compares different parts of the landscape during an early stage of the project to the current view across the Park. New features have recently been added to the London 2012 website to help people from all over the world can keep up to date with London 2012’s construction progress, events and programmes. The new website now includes: ODA Chief Executive David Higgins, said: 'These latest photos show progress on the Olympic Park is transforming the landscape and skyline of east London at a steady rate. Construction on all venues on the Park is going very well and it is clear how much visible progress we are making on the Park.
'With this, the London 2012 website has added new features. The image gallery, the virtual tour and the London 2012 map will help show people across the UK and around the world how the construction is progressing, and how people are getting ready for the Games to come to London in three years time.'
