International Inspiration is a London 2012 programme governed by an independent charitable foundation – the II Foundation.
The programme is supported by a unique partnership of organisations including UK Sport, UNICEF and the British Council, who are responsible for delivery in association with the Youth Sport Trust.
The Youth Sport Trust, the Department for International Development, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, GE Foundation, Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Comic Relief, International Development through Sport, the Premier League, the British Olympic Association, the British Paralympic Association and individual donors are also members of this partnership.
To enable longer-term impact, International Inspiration develops programmes jointly with national governments, National Olympic Committees and where appropriate, National Paralympic Committees, along with local NGO partners.
International Inspiration is also supported by the generosity of foundations and individual donors and trusts, including JL Beckwith Charitable Trust, The Taylor Family Foundation and City Charitable Trust.
We are extremely grateful to our private supporters who have made significant personal gifts.
This is the first time an Olympic and Paralympic Games host nation has delivered an international social legacy of this kind. With International Inspiration, London is setting a precedent for future hosts to follow.
Supporting International Inspiration is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of London 2012 and to make a difference to more than 12 million children’s lives across 20 different countries.
