In 2012, the South West will welcome thousands of visitors for the Sailing events at Weymouth and Portland.
But there are already lots of opportunities for you to get involved in the 2012 Games. Whether it's supplying the Games as a business, getting involved in a cultural project or volunteering in your local community, you can be part of the 2012 experience.

- The South West has 61 facilities in the London 2012 Pre-Games Training Camps Guide
- Completion of Sailing Venue for the 2012 Games – Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy – was one year ahead of schedule. The first London 2012 venue to be completed, it was officially launched at the end of 2008.
- 45 London 2012 Handover flags were raised in the South West to celebrate the handover of the Games from Beijing to London.
- The UK School Games were held in Bristol and Bath in August 2008.
