The Copper Box was host to Handball and the Modern Pentathlon. It's flexible seating allows it to accommodate different size floor space. It's design allows optimum use of natural light and channels rainwater from the roof to flush toilets.

After the Games it will be used as a multi-use sports centre by Greenwich residents and for athlete-training. The copper cladding will gradually develop a verdigris, blue-green patina as it ages.
