Along with lots of excitement and an incredible atmosphere, the Games will bring thousands of visitors. This means the transport system will be very busy – so you should start thinking now about how you’re going to travel to your event.
There will be no spectator parking at any of the venues, except for a limited number of spaces for disabled spectators that must be booked in advance.

2012 Games coach services - Dedicated direct coach services will be provided to a variety of 2012 Games venues from a range of locations outside the M25.
2012 Games park-and-ride - Secure park-and-ride sites will be provided at convenient locations near to a variety of London 2012 venues.
2012 Games train tickets - Special tickets are available for travel between 18 July and 14 September 2012.
A number of London 2012 sporting venues are accessible by river. These include Greenwich Park, North Greenwich Arena, The Royal Artillery Barracks, Horse Guards Parade and Eton Dorney.

London 2012 Spectator Journey planner helps Games ticket holders plan their journeys by public transport, cycling and walking from anywhere in Great Britain to, and between, London 2012 venues between 18 July 2012 and 14 September 2012, with links to book travel tickets where relevant.
The spectator journey planner provides the best routes to
London 2012 venues for spectators based on the predicted status of the transport network during the Games. As a result, you may get a slightly longer or different journey to the one you expect – but it may also be easier or more efficient.

Spectators with a ticket for a London 2012 sporting event or ceremony in London will receive a one-day Games Travelcard for the day of that event. The Games Travelcard will entitle you to free travel within zones 1–9 on the London public transport network throughout the day of your event.
This includes London Underground (Tube), London Overground, Docklands Light Railway (DLR), buses, trams and National Rail services – but not the Heathrow, Stansted or Gatwick Express trains, or taxis and private hire vehicles.
Spectators will also be able to use their Games Travelcard on the Javelin® service between St. Pancras and Stratford International stations and to and from Watford Junction, and can enjoy a one-third discount on the price of the 2012 Games river bus express and 2012 Games river tour services.
