The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games is charged with staging the Games in 2012.

Led by Sebastian Coe (Chair) and Paul Deighton (Chief Executive), it is based in Canary Wharf along with the Olympic Delivery Authority.

LOCOG is responsible for staging a memorable Games in 2012. It will deliver the best possible Olympic and Paralympic Games experience for everyone involved, ensuring a tangible legacy and inspiring people to participate.

As well as staging the 2012 Games, LOCOG will also be responsible for staging a series of test events in the year before the Games; recruiting and training volunteers; and overseeing the four-year Cultural Festival leading up to the Games.

Starting with just 50 staff in July 2005, LOCOG will remain a relatively small organisation until the end of the Beijing Games in 2008.

But by the time of the 2012 Opening Ceremony around 100,000 people will be working on the Games - including 3,000 staff, and thousands of volunteers and contractors. Staff roles will be advertised on this site.

Roles in the organisation range from sports competition managers and project planners to cultural curators and functional specialists.
