With London 2012 fast approaching, unfortunately our Work Experience scheme has now closed and we won’t be offering any more places.
We have had more than 200 students working with us since London won the bid to host the Games in 2005.
A placement at the London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) has offered fantastic opportunities to work on a remarkable project in an office environment. Students have developed existing skills and gained new ones, with some of them progressing to secure permanent employment at LOCOG.
Comments from our work experience students include:
“I have developed a better understanding of what it is like to work.”
“It has given me more self-confidence and a better knowledge of what I would like to do when I leave school.”
“I enjoyed all the activities I was given.”
“I feel very privileged to have been able to play a part in such a prestigious and global event.”
“Working with the team has helped me to develop some key employability skills.”
“I really enjoyed working in the different departments and learning so much about the build up to 2012.”
“Thank you for your support.”
We have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and working with all our students on work experience. Thank you to all those we have met – we hope you enjoyed your placement!
