On 3 December 2008, International Disabled Persons Day, we launched our outreach programme for disabled people, and we were awarded the 'two ticks' disability mark by the Minister for Disabled People, Jonathan Shaw.
Disabled people are traditionally under-represented in sport and in the workforce generally. We want to change that and encourage disabled people to apply to us as an employer of choice. As an employer, we promise:
– to guarantee an interview to all disabled applicants who meet the person specification for a job vacancy and to consider them on merit alone;
– to ensure disabled employee access to LOCOG’s Diversity Action Team to discuss what more can be done;
– to develop and use their abilities;
– to make every effort when employees become disabled to make sure they stay in employment;
– to take action to ensure that all employees develop the appropriate level of disability awareness needed to make sure these commitments work; and
– to review these commitments annually with stakeholders to measure progress, plan ways to improve and lay out future plans.
You can apply to work for LOCOG using >access now with the guaranteed interview form, also available to download through LOCOG jobs listed on this site.
