One of the first questions asked is why apply to be part of the Inspire programme? There are many - hopefully inspiring - reasons...
Inspire programme projects and events will:
- Be a part of the largest event to take place in the UK this generation.
- Be able to carry the Inspire mark on marketing material.
- Reach new audiences, like never before.
- Benefit from significant marketing activity, including listing on the London 2012 website.
- Become part of the Inspire programme network. As such, you will receive a monthly e-newsletter highlighting new projects and events, promoting best practice, sharing experience and learning.
Things to note before you apply
- The Inspire mark can only be awarded to projects and events which are non-commercial and are delivered by non-commercial organisations. If your project or event has any commercial element such as donated goods and services or a branded venue, please discuss this with us before applying.
- If you get to the application stage, you will be asked to specify the marketing materials you would want to use the Inspire mark on. If you are successful, these requests will be the basis for your brand licence agreement. Please be aware that not all requests can be met. For example, the Inspire mark cannot appear on products or merchandise.
- Please note that the Inspire mark is granted to a project or event rather than an organisation as a whole. Its use is subject to licence and approval of artwork.
