Open Weekend is more than a one-off series of events.
It’s the start of a four-year celebration, the Cultural Olympiad. A celebration of our cultures on a scale that has not been done before, designed to enable the widest range of people across the UK to take part.

Open Weekend will feature hundreds of innovative cultural events across the UK. But there's more to it than that.
The weekend will open up opportunities for people across the UK to visit spaces, places and people and get them involved in imaginative, thought-provoking creative activities.
It will ‘open up’ cultural groups and organisations, encouraging them to work together to do something unusual -like creating the largest-ever hand painting.

To run an event as part of the Open Weekend simply email the team about your ideas and how they might fit with the Cultural Olympiad values.There are already hundreds of events and activities planned for the Open Weekend.
