On 15 October 2009, the Olympic Board agreed the proposal to use existing facilities at Wembley Arena to host Rhythmic Gymnastics and Badminton, rather than build a temporary venue on the North Greenwich Peninsula. Discussions are in progress to confirm the plans.

Where is it?
The proposed temporary North Greenwich Arena 2 will be next to the North Greenwich Arena 1, at the tip of the Greenwich peninsula opposite the mouth of the River Lea. The venue is easy to get to by the Jubilee line of the London Undergound, which also serves the Olympic Park.

This proposed move is subject to approval from the International Federations for Badminton and Rhythmic Gymnastics and the International Olympic Committee.
