About the Millennium Stadium

With a retractable roof and a capacity of 74,500, the Millennium Stadium has hosted many top sporting events, including FA Cup finals and the 1999 Rugby World Cup Final.

During the Games

The Millennium Stadium has the honour of hosting the very first event of the Olympic Games, with women's Football matches starting on 25 July. It will also host the men's bronze medal match.

It was announced in November 2011 that both the men's and women's Great Britain teams will play group matches at the stadium.
