Suffolk Disability Sport Showcase DayThis will be the biggest and best Disability Sport Showcase Day Optua has held in Suffolk. Our previous events have been attended by over 700 disabled people in total. The event we're planning for Saturday 24 July will include a huge range of Paralympic sports to try for free as well as other arts and cultural activities such as dance and theatre workshops. The sports included cycling, football, athletics, boccia, sailing (both off site) archery, darts, judo and powerlifting. The Showcase Day is part of Optua's Suffolk Disability Sport Academy project which aims to encourage more disabled people to get into sport and become more fit and active. The event in Ipswich is being organised to coincide with the London 2012 Open Weekend and is one not to miss, so get it in your 2010 diaries now! The event is fully accessible and anyone with a disability is welcome to come along. Contact us for more information by calling 01473 836777.
