From 9am to 9pm there will be 12 hours of dance classes on offer for beginners and experienced dancers to participate in. We invite you to rise to the 12 hour challenge and to try something new. No experience required just enthusiasm, a sense of humour and loads of energy. Sample taster sessions of bollywood, tango, salsa, samba, yoga, capoeira and much much more! You will be able to join in as many different sessions as you like on the day, sampling numerous styles, raising the profile of dance and improving your fitness whilst having fun! The aim of the day is to raise as much money as possible to support the future of moving Voices, which is our flagship dance related volunteering programme, for young people, run by young people All sponsored participants will be able to access all 12 Dance-a-thon dance classes free of charge, please see our website for more details. Get involved, get sponsored and get dancing to support moving Voices. moving Voices helps young people take the lead in making dance happen in their local neighbourhood. We provide training so that the young people gain the skills and support to make their dance ideas into reality. You don't have to be a dancer to volunteer. There are lots of creative ways that young people can get involved, contributing to the moving Voices website, making films or volunteering in our offices. We work with young people to help them with their big dance ideas to make a big impact in their communities. "moving Voices gives young people hope as it's not all about being academic. We can focus on the things that we're passionate about" Ali, Brighton.
