Highlights
Tanzania were first represented at the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games by a four-man team in athletics.
Their only medals to date came at the Moscow 1980 Olympic Games.
Filbert BAYI claimed a silver in the 3,000m steeplechase and Suleiman NYAMBUI also took silver in the men's 5,000m.
At the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, they sent a team of nine in athletics and swimming. Fabiano JOSEPH finished ninth in the men's 10,000m.
