Highlights

The Cook Islands were first represented at the Seoul 1988 Olympic Games by a team of seven in three sports, and they have participated in all subsequent Olympic Games.

Weightlifter Sam Nunuke PERA competed in three Olympic Games and has twice carried his country's flag. His son. Sam. represented the Cook Islands at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and was also his country's flagbearer.

Cook Islands have yet to win a medal at the Olympic Games.
