Highlights
Comoros first appeared at the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996.
The 100m sprinter Hadhari DJAFFAR was one of their team of four. He became the first from Comoros to take part in three Olympic Games. Ahamada HAOULATA was the first woman to compete for Comoros when she ran the 400m.
Eight of their 10 Olympians to date have competed in athletics, but in Beijing, the team of three also included a swimmer. They have yet to win an Olympic medal.
