Highlights
Andorra first competed in 1976 when they sent a small team to the Winter Olympic Games in Innsbruck and the Summer Olympic Games in Montreal.
Skier Esteve TOMAS competed in the men's giant slalom in Innsbruck and his brother Joan competed in the men's trap shooting.
Joan competed in three consecutive Olympic Games from 1976 to 1984 and then reappeared after a 16-year gap to compete at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games at the age of 49.
Cyclist Emili PEREZ finished ninth in the men's road race at the Seoul 1988 Olympic Games. His brother Xavier competed alongside him in the same race.
High jumper Margarida MORENO was the first woman to represent Andorra when she competed at the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games.
She was also the flagbearer. The team of eight was their largest to date. Marathon runner Toni BERNADO completed four consecutive Olympic marathons, including the 2008 race in Beijing.
