This week London 2012 welcomed Archbishop Desmond Tutu to the Olympic Park. He made us laugh and feel inspired, but most of all he made us feel proud about how multicultural London is and how this will help us host the best Games ever! See more photos of Desmond Tutu visiting.

Also on the Olympic Park, progress continues on the Olympic Village, with three of the 11 residential plots now structurally complete. See more photos of the Olympic Village.

Double Olympic Rowing gold medallist James Cracknell helped to launch an initiative called Smallsteps4life which is inspired by the London 2012 Games. The programme aims to get people doing a little something different in their lives to make a whole lot of difference to their health and well-being.

Finally, I really like this photo taken inside the Olympic Stadium on one of the webcams yesterday. You get a great view of the cable-net roof which has been lifted into place. See more photos of work taking place on the Olympic Stadium.

The second picture looks remarkably like the fantastic race track at Monte Carlo. The Olympics are definitely going to bring the glamor to London.
