What I need to do to make it to the London 2012 Paralympic Games

Hearing that the 2012 Paralympic Games was coming to the UK was the greatest dream any sports person can have. To have the chance to compete on home turf is potentially the greatest day of their lives, but getting there is the hardest struggle.

Where I have just become the British Boccia Champion it has inspired me to be more determined to be the best female Boccia athelete the world has ever seen.

To get myself to the 2012 Paralympic Games I need to do the following:

  • Be consistent when competing.
  • Keeping focused at all times.
  • Keep believing that I am the best.
  • Staying up in the top 3 in Great Britain.
  • Work to a higher performance programme.
  • Strive to be the best always and never let others get in my way.
  • Keep my sports equpiment to the best standard.
  • Try and win over the selectors to put me there.

Keep training hard; keep competing hard to keep the dream alive.

“I WILL BE THERE”!!!

Cecilia, you were always the big, bold and challenging lady when you were a student at my school. It has been excellent to see you challenge boundaries in society and now we all look forward to a Hampshire lady been an international sporting star in 2012. Chris Gardiner.
