Another landmark date and the progress looks great! I am a Londoner, but the 2012 Olympics is not just about London. It's about team GB, it's about national pride, it's about an amazing, historical event taking place on our doorstep, it's about getting excited and involved, and it's about making sure that we maximise the legacy and the investment.Forget the others, we will do it better! I can't wait!

It seems to me that the popular attitude is that nobody is proud to be British anymore!!This is a fantastic opportunity to show the world and ourselves that we are still a great nation in more than name and put on a spectacle that will generate a new wave of nationalistic pride in who we are and what we stand forI intend to embrace every moment and wish to be part of this global experience in our back yard

Just shows that the Olympic venues are not just London. Weymouth was also shown for the sailing and Old Trafford will be used for football.£ years will pass in no time!
