With anything up to four Host Cities at any one time, plus bidding cities and numerous other commitments and charitable work that the IOC undertake, getting time in the IOC President's diary is not easy. So we were thrilled to have an hour of Jacques Rogge's time this morning, in between the Beijing Debrief, which meant we were able to host a trip to the London 2012 Olympic Village site.
I visit the Park on a pretty regular basis and I am continually amazed by the progress on-site. This was the first time that the President had seen the Park in the flesh and I know he was extremely impressed with what he saw. Seeing maps is one thing, but actually seeing the site up close gives you a great perspective on the amazing piece of regeneration happening in East London.

The President also made a point of mentioning the morale of everyone he met - which is something that always strikes me whenever I visit. We always see plenty of smiles on-site...Something I hope we'll see much more of between now and 2012.
