Hearing stakeholders views on London 2012 venues

On Tuesday we held the ODA’s sixth specialist stakeholder event. The event was attended by over 60 stakeholders including British Waterways and the Environment Agency. They got to see the designs for the Handball Arena, Basketball Arena and Greenway that are being built or upgraded for the London 2012 Games.

The stakeholders were organised according to their specialisms such as safety, security, equalities, access and sustainability.

Stakeholders with expertise in 'safety' discuss the venues:

There were presentations and workshops on each of the projects. This gave the design teams an opportunity to discuss the venues and buildings as part of the planning process and hear the stakeholder’s views.

These events provide us with valuable input which is used to improve the designs for the venues and buildings on the Olympic Park.
