Hi! It’s Mike Dobriskey again and as you know I work as part of Team Stadium.
My daughter Lisa is currently out in Beijing preparing for her 1500m race. She is getting ready to run in the semi finals on Thursday 21 August starting at 11:00am UK time. The first eight to finish in each race and the next two fastest times will go into the final on Saturday 23 August at 11:50am…not that I'm counting down or anything.

I have been watching the Beijing Games and wanted to wish good luck and best wishes to Team GB – we are looking forward to a very competitive and entertaining athletics programme and our best wishes are with you all.
You have all completed many years of hard work and remember that old saying: 'It is not the winning but the taking part that matters'. You are the best in the country and our thoughts are with you, enjoy every moment because these memories will last for the rest of your life.
To put it really simply – just go out there and give it your best shot! I’m happy to pay the excess baggage costs for all the extra metal you bring back with you!
