I have been attending the National College of Construction at Eton Manor, just on the edge of the Olympic Park. The College was opened at the end of last year to train people who are interested in working in construction, helping them to get a job building for London 2012.
Before going into the training I used to work in fit-out demolition, where I had to knock down interior walls. I enjoy working in construction and, when given the opportunity to actually learn more skills within construction, I jumped at the chance.
My line manager Grant and I:

I now work on the north of the Park where the VeloPark will be. I am a resident of Bow and I like being involved in this project, especially as it’s on my doorstep and I only have to get one bus to work.
