While I was at the Olympic Park today for the official launch of the start of construction on the Olympic Stadium, I was trying to imagine exactly where the Long Jump pit would be and tried to visualise myself competing there.
The Stadium site looks amazing - I'm sure the London 2012 Games are going to be great and the Stadium is really going to provide the wow factor.

I recently won a silver medal at the Indoor World Championships so hopefully I’ll be competing for a serious medal in Beijing. Long jumpers peak much later than some of the track athletes - I'm 26 now so I should be at my best in 2012.
It is great to be involved in an event like this - it shows that athletes are truly in the minds of the people planning and building the Stadium.
