Six of us from the Little Harrowden Primary School design team went to London. We were thrilled to hear we were short listed and would go to London. A fabulous time was had by all.
With Godric Smith (ODA Director of Communications) and Tessa Jowell (Minister for the Olympics):

'We were split into groups to work on our Velodream design. We each worked on different ideas such as how to get there, the BMX track, the road track, the stadium and mountain bike trails. It was challenging to think of suitable and sensible ideas that would work. We worked very hard and persevered to make a design which was short listed. We even added a powerpoint for the presentation. We would do it all again tomorrow if we had the chance to go back to London.' Jacob, Josh and Matthew.
'It was really exciting when we went to London and stayed in the Ibis Excel hotel. We were treated really nicely there and the food was delicious and we really enjoyed it. The Thames Clipper boat trip was really exciting and we met the captain and saw the ship’s bridge. We took plenty of photos.' James

'It was great when we made the bamboo structure of the cycle track. It was quite hard putting the bamboo together. Mr Lett’s bit didn’t fit. It was hard putting the roof on because I couldn’t reach. It was so exciting to see H.M.S. Belfast up close – I had never seen it before.' Cameron
'The tour of the Olympic Park was brilliant. There were huge cranes and diggers clearing the massive area where the park would go. The lady on the bus explained where everything was going to go in the mud. We also got some really cool maps that showed where everything would go.' Edward
